If you are reading this, it is likely because you are looking for more information to support someone who has special needs.

There are so many rules surrounding educating children with disabilities; it’s more complicated than it should be and I have written a guide in the hopes of simplifying it so you can be informed and prepared to advocate for your child.

While so many rules are in place, the essence of the process is fairly simple.  It starts with suspecting a disability.  That can happen because the school “found” the concern—which they have a responsibility to do or because you pointed out a concern.

About Us

At Edu Solutions K12, we are dedicated to providing high-quality individualized educational consulting services. With over 27 years of leadership experience spanning state government, school district and charter schools, Dr. Marinucci has a proven track record of helping individuals and organizations reach their full potential.

Dr. Michele Marinucci is a retired educator and administrator. She started her career as a special education teacher, teaching in elementary, middle and high school. With a desire to make a broader impact, Dr. Marinucci spent the last two decades of her career leading special education as a district level administrator directly overseeing special education in two different districts in Delaware and as the Head of School for a local charter school. In addition, she has collaborated with Delaware legislators to create and change legislation specifically related to supporting students with disabilities, created the Special Education Advisory Council (SESPAC), and served as the President of the Special Education Directors Association for many years. Now that she is retired, she is focused on time with her husband, developing her embroidery and laser art business, and helping others navigate the special education process.
